MOUNTING SYSTEM FOR 3D PRINTED CERAMIC TILES

Context

Context At Studio RAP I worked on a graduation project focused on 3D-printed ceramic façades. Every project required a new custom mounting solution, which often slowed down the process and created risks on the construction site.

Opportunities

This challenge opened the door to design a universal mounting system. A system that could scale with different tile shapes, speed up workflows at Studio RAP and give installers a straightforward and reliable way to mount and replace tiles.

Results & Learnings

I built a working mock-up that showed how tiles could be mounted, adjusted, and replaced with one adapter. The process made me realize how much I enjoy solving complex problems through hands-on prototyping, while also sparking a new ambition: to deepen my skills in computational design and bring that into my future work.
